Membership dues for 2008 are due in December. For all Continuous Members, please renew your
membership through the VFW National Website or at the Post.

VFW Post 9289 Membership
There are three requisites for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States:
(1) citizenship; (2) honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States; (3) service entitling the
applicant to the award of a recognized campaign medal or as set forth in the Congressional Charter
and/or VFW bylaws.
To determine if your military service satisfies requisite (3) for membership in Veterans of Foreign Wars,
please check with this Eligibility Campaign Chart. If you would like to join or have any questions about

VFW Post 9289 Ladies Auxiliary Membership
To join the Ladies Auxiliary, you must be a wife, widow, mother, foster or stepmother (who has
performed the duties of parent), grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, foster or stepdaughter (who
attained that status prior to the age of sixteen and for whom the duties of parent were performed), sister,
half sister, foster or stepsisters (who attained that status prior to age sixteen) of persons who were or are
members in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Members must be citizens of the United
States and not less than sixteen years old.
Women eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall be eligible
for dual membership in the Ladies Auxiliary.

To join the Mens Auxiliary, you must be a husband, widow, father, foster or stepfather (who has
performed the duties of parent), grandfather, son, grandson, foster or stepson (who attained that status
prior to the age of sixteen and for whom the duties of parent were performed), brother, half brother,
foster or stepbrothers (who attained that status prior to age sixteen) of persons who were or are
members in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Members must be citizens of the United
States and not less than sixteen years old.
